James Fund

407 ETR takes pride in its employees and their drive to raise funds for various causes. One cause close to all 407 ETR employee hearts is The James Fund at SickKids. This fund was set up to honour James Birrell, an 8 year-old boy who passed away after a long battle with neuroblastoma, a deadly childhood cancer of the central nervous system. The James Fund raises money to help fund cancer-cure research.

Since 2008, 407 ETR and its employees have donated over $25,000 to The James Fund through our participation in IceWave and HeatWave, two volleyball events held annually in the Greater Toronto Area.

407 ETR has twice been awarded the IceWave Top Pledge Award, a Wilson volleyball autographed by actor Tom Hanks.
