In 1999, 407 ETR began a 99‑year Concession Agreement with the Province of Ontario to assume the management and operation of Highway 407 ETR. This includes tolling, customer service and the maintenance and expansion of the roadway.
Since then, we’ve invested over $1.6 billion in extensions and expansions, nearly doubling lane capacity to accommodate growing traffic demands in the GTA. We also provide back-office and billing support for Provincially-owned Highway 407, which extends from Brock Road to Highway 35/115.

We’re proud to serve Ontario drivers as a majority Canadian-owned company.
407 International Inc. is the sole shareholder of 407 ETR and is owned by Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board (50.01%), Cintra (43.23%) and AtkinsRéalis (6.76%).
Our largest shareholder, CPP Investments, manages an investment fund in the best interest of Canada Pension Plan (CPP) contributors and beneficiaries.
