Exceptional Hardship Program
The Exceptional Hardship Program is designed to help personal customers in plate denial who need their vehicle to support the health and safety of themselves or another person, but have a balance they can't immediately pay in full.
Eligibility Criteria
You may be eligible for the program if you meet the following criteria:
Your balance is over $1,000
Your account is currently in plate denial
You are able to prove the denial of your licence plate poses a risk to the health and safety of yourself or someone in your care
How it Works
Once you’ve been approved for the program, plate denial is lifted and repayment is based on the full amount owing on your account.
Equal monthly payments will be arranged to pay off your full balance.
Plate denial is lifted and interest on the unpaid balance is stopped while enrolled in the program.
Charges for trips taken while enrolled in the program are not included in the repayment plan and must be paid in full to remain in the program.
How to Apply
Download the application form and send it to the email address indicated on the form, or by mail. A $30 application fee is applied to your 407 ETR account.
Please allow up to 30 days from the date we receive your application to be notified about the status of your application.
