Javier Tamargo, President & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Tamargo was appointed as President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) on September 4, 2020. He has over 20 years of international experience in civil engineering and global infrastructure asset management. Mr. Tamargo previously served as the CEO for 407 East Development Group, which developed phase one of Highway 407 (the provincially-owned toll road that connects with Highway 407 ETR). He later served as CEO for the I-77 toll highway in North Carolina, before taking on his most recent role as Vice President, Commercial Director for Cintra in the United States.
Mr. Tamargo joined Cintra in 2002 as Project Manager, and progressed through several positions across different markets and asset classes, including as the CEO of toll highways from the construction phase through to operations. Mr. Tamargo holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Civil Engineering and Structural Engineering from the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid.
