Lending a Helping Hand
We collaborate with neighbouring communities to make meaningful investments that meet immediate and longer-term needs.

Breaking Down Barriers to STEM Education
A $400,000 donation to York University’s Lassonde School of Engineering’s k2i academy, divided equally between the 407 ETR Path2STEM fund and the 407 ETR Work Integrated Learning Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion fund, is offering opportunities to underrepresented STEM students.
“With this generous donation from 407 ETR, we will continue our journey of offering paid educational experiences to underrepresented students in environments that are dynamic, innovative and collaborative” Lisa Cole, Director of Programming, Lassonde School of Engineering

$4M Donation to United Way
Our “Road to Recovery” donation provided critical social services to support isolated seniors, mental health services and food and income security. 407 ETR employees continue to raise funds annually, and we were honoured to be recognized as a Local Leader in 2022 for our continued support.

One Big Day of Volunteering
As part of our annual company-wide volunteer day, 407 ETR employees give back to the communities we serve—lending a hand at shelters, delivering meals, mentoring youth, supporting senior’s residences or cleaning up nearby green spaces.

Supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ Youth
407 ETR is committed to creating a welcoming and safe space for the entire 2SLGBTQIA+ community. We support Friends of Ruby, a Toronto organization that provides 2SLGBTQIA+ youth with mental health support, housing and other social services.

City of Brampton
We’re sponsoring City of Brampton community programs to help make community engagement more accessible to people living below the poverty line or with disabilities.
Accelerating Innovation

Testing Drones for Safer Inspections
407 ETR and Mohawk College’s Unmanned and Remote Sensing Innovation Centre (URSIC) are testing safer and more efficient ways to inspect overhead structures using aerial drones.
