Brian Fernandes
Chief Internal Auditor & Ombudsman
Brian Fernandes joined 407 ETR in October 2003 and is the Chief Internal Auditor and Ombudsman. Mr. Fernandes has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance, including auditing, accounting and treasury. During his career, Mr. Fernandes worked for international and medium-sized public and private companies around the world.
Prior to joining 407 ETR, Mr. Fernandes worked with Nortel Networks and ShawCor in Internal Audit. At ShawCor, he also worked in the treasury department where he managed their global cash requirements and foreign exchange exposure.
Mr. Fernandes is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA, CGA) from Ontario and also holds a Masters in Finance from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland. He frequently attends seminars and courses related to finance, risk management and corporate governance, in addition to volunteering his expertise and personal time to various non-profit organizations.
